if your VW have connect the canbus .please don't connect the ACC .if the ACC connect .it will drain car battery .
Recently, Stavros feedback this issues for 8 inch VW android 4.4.4 kitkat head unit :
The lights flip on and off
When the radio is ON the lights are OFF.
And also the radio when I swith it OFF, the screnn shows tha it is OFF but it is not because the radio drain my battery every 4-5 days.
I measure the Amps. It is use 1.2Amps when it is OFF and 1.5 when it is ON.
Something goes wrong my friend.
Can we fix it? Do you have any idea?

For lights, you should put the ILLUMI wire connect to the ACC wire, So it can stay on.
About radio when I swith it OFF, the screen shows tha it is OFF but it is not because the radio drain my battery every 4-5 days.
this question, it is normally that ACC memory, if you turn on the car, the head unit will following the car to turn on, and you also said you said you measured the Amps. It is use 1.2Amps when it is OFF and 1.5 when it is ON.
And the ACC wire to power on head unit, so it will be memory the informations, like radio stations.
The head unit just need a little power to memory.
have you reset the shutdown delay when ACC off
if you choose the shutdown delay when ACC off as 30s , when you pull out the key .please see this two light is on or off
if the light is still on .it means the head unit didn't shutdown completely ,if the light is off .it will drain your car bettery
